PISCES HISTORY IN AUSTRALIA
The Pisces Group is Australia’s and the world’s largest combined producer and wholesaler of Aquarium Plants, Live Food, Frozen Feeders, Natural Décor, Aquarium Fish and other quality products.
Founded in 1970, Pisces Group Australia quickly became the market leader in the specialty area of live aquarium plants due to large investment in both human technical knowhow and in state of the art greenhouses, aquatic plant growing facilities, a tissue culture laboratory and an in-house quarantine room, all climate controlled and staffed by leading experts.
In the early 1990’s, a need was identified for a reliable supplier and producer of live insects for the zoos and wildlife sanctuaries. Research and development over the last three decades has resulted in our extensive operation spanning over 350 acres of facilities that provide year round supply of live food and frozen feeders.
In 2008 Pisces Enterprises established a sister company, Pisces Natural Products (now known as PNP Trading). PNP was tasked with the vision of becoming a world leader in the supply of unique natural décor from all corners of the world, offering never before seen woods, rocks and exclusive substrates.
Pisces Group Australia has been operating for over 50 years and supplies over 90% of all retail pet shops, zoos and other industry related businesses Australia wide. The group is one of Australia’s most trusted and well-loved brands.
Pisces Group Australia has exclusive contracts with all of Australia’s largest chains and is a strategic supplier to Petbarn and Petstock, which are Australia’s equivalent of Petco and Petsmart in the USA.
PISCES HISTORY IN THE USA & CANADA
In July 2017, the Pisces Group established a company and base in southern California – Pisces USA LLC. We are now proud to offer the US market access to our world leading products that have been developed over many decades in and for Australia’s sophisticated aquarium and reptile hobbyists.
In late 2020 Pisces USA relocated from Los Angeles to it’s permanent home in Savannah, Georgia. The new facilities in Savannah are strategically located 10 minutes from the port (one of the east coasts largest ports) and offers access to 60% of the population within preferential domestic freight zones.
In early 2024 Pisces USA opened a second facility in Milwaukee in order to better service that are and the West Coast.
Since establishing a company in the USA, Pisces USA has been successful in establishing partnerships with the countries largest pet chains such as Petco, Petsmart, Chewy, Amazon Prime, BRS Fresh and many independent retail stores in all areas of the USA and Canada.
